Nicholas Horvath

 Clinical Psychology Registrar

Nicholas is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who works with children, adolescents, and adults. He integrates evidence-based assessment and therapeutic approaches with a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth style.

Nicholas began his career in community mental health, supporting families with complex and high-needs presentations. This experience shaped his compassionate, practical approach and strengthened his ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances.

Outside of clinical practice, Nicholas is actively involved in his local community as a youth basketball coach, where he supports young people to develop resilience, confidence, and teamwork. As a parent of three children, he brings a grounded, relatable understanding of the everyday challenges families navigate.

Nicholas is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering therapeutic environment where individuals feel heard, supported, and understood. He believes that psychology extends beyond reducing distress it also involves cultivating strengths, building meaning, and helping people create rich, values-based lives that flourish beyond the therapy room.

Nicholas offers comprehensive assessments to support diagnosis, school support, or NDIS applications, including:

  • ADHD assessments
  • Cognitive functioning assessments (IQ, learning concerns, Intellectual Developmental Disorder)
