Dr Clare Applegarth graduated from University of Queensland in 2012 and has worked in General Practice since 2016. Her career has spanned diverse clinical settings across Far North Queensland, the Torres Strait and Brisbane. Clare enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has particular interest in child health, women’s health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and diabetes care. She holds the Diploma of Child Health, as well as the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health.

Dr Geoffrey Bennett is an experienced GP with a particular interest in Child and Adolescent Health. He graduated in 2001, and initially worked in regional and rural Queensland. He joins Growlife Medical after being on the Sunshine Coast for 15 years.  He also consults at our Highgate Hill clinic.

Dr Bennett has special interest in child and adolescent health and has extensive experience supporting families with ADHD and developmental assessments. He's a great first point of contact if you're unsure whether your child may need an evaluation.

Dr Geoffrey Bennett offers bulk-billed appointments for children aged 12 months and under.

Dr Coe completed her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2013, and has worked in various hospitals before finding her place in general practice. She enjoys partnering up with patients from all stages of life, to manage their health challenges and promote wellness. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially women's health, child health and lifestyle medicine. Dr Amy is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society and is undertaking her Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE) certification. She offers specialised weight management consults.

Dr Li has over 20 years clinical experience in medicine and enjoys the variety and challenge of general practice. She has special interest in preventative medicine, chronic disease management, mental health, women’s health and minor procedures. She is aligned with mater mothers hospital to provided shared antenatal care. She strives to provide holistic health care to her patients. Dr Li Speaks both English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Registered Nurse, Endorsed Midwife and Lactation Consultant

Kate initially worked as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse for many years at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane before becoming a Midwife (2012) and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (2016).  

Kate earned her endorsement as a Midwife in 2024 which enables her to prescribe appropriate scheduled medicines, request appropriate pathology within her midwifery scope and provide Medicare rebates during pregnancy and up to 6 weeks postnatally. 

A passionate advocate for families, Kate gives evidence-based advice to ensure all parents can make informed choices. Kate also has a special interest in infant feeding and sleep. 

Kate is a mum of 3 – her 3 proudest achievements. In her spare time, you will find Kate with her family, gardening, trying to become a better cook and raising a growing number of animals. 

Kate sees patients at our Fairfield clinic, as well as telehealth, consultations and home visits. 

Provisional Psychologist

Nicholas is a provisional psychologist completing his Master’s of Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland.  He has a background in community services, previously working as a social worker in inpatient settings and as a recovery clinician in the community. These roles fostered his commitment to holistic, person-centred care.

Nicholas is particularly interested in trauma-informed care, mood and anxiety disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and IDD. He has experience conducting assessments, including ADHD, cognitive, and functional capacity evaluations.

Outside of work, Nicholas coaches youth basketball and is a proud father of three. He is passionate about empowering others and creating supportive, affirming spaces for clients.

Podiatrist

Angelica Berkeley consults at Growlife Medical as a podiatrist. She specialises in foot surgery for ingrown toenails, custom made orthotics/innersoles, diabetic foot assessments, and sports injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Angelica works at our Fairfield Medical Centre.

Jessica Cartwright is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, graduating from a Masters of Dietetics at the top of her class at the University of Queensland. Her clinical interest area is chronic disease management. This includes, but is not limited to conditions such as diabetes , heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and kidney disease. Jessica consults at our Sherwood and Fairfield clinic for individualised care, and also runs our Diabetes Group Program .

Georgia Blair is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist who has a keen passion for paediatric nutrition (infant, child, and adolescent) and women’s health. Her interest areas include supporting the management of food allergies and intolerances, faltering growth or slow weight gain, gastrointestinal concerns, fussy or restrictive eating, disordered eating and helping patients improve their relationship with food. Georgia is available at our at our Sherwood, Fairfield and Highgate Hill clinics and and runs our Child Nutrition Groups, which focus on introducing solids and providing guidance on toddler nutrition.

After many years experience as a Paediatric Nurse overseas and at the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Alison obtained further qualifications as a Midwife, as well as having three children of her own. She has a breadth of experience in antenatal , postnatal and infant care both in the hospital, community and home visit setting. With her gentle and caring manner, Alison is able to provide practical advice during pregnancy and to new parents. Alison established the weekly parents group and runs a bulk-billed midwife clinic for pregnant mums and infants on Tuesday and Wednesday at Sherwood and is available for bookings on Fridays at Highgate Hill . She is also available other days/times by appointment. Home visits available for known patients. Please call to book in.
