Nikki Broad is a Senior Paediatric Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families across general paediatrics, food allergy and intolerance, and eating disorders.

As a mum of two, Nikki understands the daily realities of feeding children and is passionate about helping families feel confident and supported at mealtimes. She works with families to navigate concerns such as fussy eating, food allergies, faltering growth, and gastrointestinal conditions including reflux, constipation, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and functional abdominal pain.

Nikki has a special interest in eating disorders and enjoys supporting young people and families across the spectrum of eating and feeding disorders. She works with individuals of all ages experiencing conditions including anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, disordered eating, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Nikki regularly works as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists and paediatricians to support nutritional rehabilitation and long-term recovery. She draws on additional training in Family Based Treatment for Anorexia (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-e).

Nikki has experience in the dietary management of complex allergy and gastrointestinal conditions, including eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) and food protein–induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), and supporting families to maintain nutritional adequacy during elimination and reintroduction diets.

Nikki works from a neuro-affirming practice framework and has experience supporting autistic children and young people, including those with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profiles. She also supports families with nutrition considerations related to neurodevelopmental conditions and medications, including managing appetite, growth, and eating patterns in children taking medications for conditions such as anxiety, mood disturbances, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Nikki also has a growing interest in women’s health, particularly supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. She enjoys helping women understand how nutrition can support energy levels, bone health, muscle mass, metabolic health, and overall wellbeing during this stage of life. Nikki works with women to develop practical, sustainable nutrition strategies that support hormonal changes, appetite shifts, sleep, and body composition, while maintaining a balanced and positive relationship with food.

Nikki enjoys supporting children and adolescents to build positive and sustainable relationships with food. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a member of Dietitians Australia.
