Dr Shreya Malik is a warm, caring, and approachable General Practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to women, children, and families.
She graduated from the Australian National University and completed her hospital training at Canberra Hospital, followed by further training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital. This broad clinical background underpins her thoughtful, detail-focused approach to general practice.
Dr Malik has a strong focus on women’s and sexual health, including contraception, reproductive health, and antenatal care. She offers shared antenatal care with both RBWH and Mater Hospital and has completed the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health from Family Planning Alliance Australia, reflecting her advanced training in this area. She also has a special interest in medically assisted weight management, supporting patients with safe, evidence-based strategies tailored to their individual goals.
She provides comprehensive care for children and families, supported by her Diploma of Child Health, and values preventative health and early intervention across all stages of life.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Malik is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where she is actively involved in medical education and mentoring future doctors. She is deeply committed to evidence-based practice and staying up to date with the latest medical knowledge to ensure her patients receive thoughtful, current care.
As a mum of two young children, Dr Malik understands the realities of balancing health, family, and work. She is known for taking the time to listen, explaining things clearly, and creating a supportive, non-judgemental space where patients feel heard and cared for.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family.
