Introduction to Solids

Session 1 is best suited for babies aged 3 to 6 months who are preparing to start solids. The session will cover the how, why and when of learning to eat, including: 

 

  • Signs your baby is ready to start solids
  • How to prepare food to meet your baby's stage of development
  • Prevention of allergies
  • Tips to prevent choking, and
  • Encouraging healthy happy meals times.

Toddler Nutrition

Session 2 is best suited for infants 1 to 3 years. The session will cover the up and downs of feeding during the fussy years, including:
  • Meeting nutritional requirement for brain development
  • Dealing with fussy eating and food refusal
  • Deciding between cow’s milk or toddler formula
  • Preparing a healthy lunch box
  • Choosing a child care that supports good nutrition
  • Encouraging healthy happy meal times.
