Prof Sharon Dawe is a clinical psychologist and academic. She has worked in academic settings for over twenty-five years and has an international reputation in the field of child and family studies, child maltreatment and child development. Her clinical work focuses on supporting the development of young children and toddlers to help the provision of a caring and nurturing environment.
Sharon works with parents, caregivers and children using a family-focused and strengths-based approach to supporting development. She has a particular interest in early childhood and the development of self regulation and draws from theoretical models of attachment and emotional availability in her clinical practice.
