Dr Emma Fist
General Practitioner
MBBS (Hons), FRACGP, DCH (Diploma of Child Health)
Originally from Tasmania, Dr Emma Fist studied medicine at UNSW in Sydney, graduating with first-class honours in 2011. She later completed her General Practice training in Hobart.
Emma enjoys all areas of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health, including antenatal
shared care and contraception. Emma is trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and hormone-releasing intrauterine devices
(IUD). She also enjoys paediatric health and has completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney. Emma’s clinical style focuses on evidence-based, patient-centred medicine. She enjoys providing preventative healthcare and health education.
When not working, Emma enjoys spending time with her family, baking cakes and gardening.
Dr Fist operates out of our Highgate Hill Medical Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
