Dr Sonja Morgan is a thoughtful general practitioner who enjoys all areas of general practice. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Queensland
in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
in 2009. Her passion lies with maternal and child health care. She is an experienced Possums practitioner, qualified GP Lactation Consultant, and runs the shared medical appointments
at Highgate Hill.
Dr Morgan's skills include contraception (including Implanon insertion and removal), antenatal and postnatal care of mothers, as well as care for newborns. She is particularly skilled in this area, and has assisted many mothers and babies to get through those difficult early days, and continues to care for many throughout childhood.
Sonja has two small children of her own and fully understands the enormous upheaval to a mother's life that a new baby brings. Despite her busy professional schedule, Dr Morgan is committed to ongoing professional development, and has an interest in photography, travel and art outside her work as a GP in Highgate Hill.
