Catherine Willis

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
B App Sc (Phty), Post Grad Cert (Ex and WH)
Cath completed her physiotherapy degree in Sydney, and moved into women’s health within a few years of graduating. Real-life experience with her own two children increased her interest in exercise during pregnancy and the post natal period, issues that women face with breastfeeding, and pelvic girdle pain.

Cath works clinically with all types of urinary and anal incontinence, constipation, prolapse, recovery after gynaecological and prostate surgery, and pelvic pain conditions including vaginismus. These issues can be frustrating and embarrassing for many people, so Cath likes to provide education at the right level so that her patients feel more confident in making decisions about their health.

Cath has also more recently worked with children and adolescents with bladder and bowel challenges. Cath teaches undergraduate physiotherapy students at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane. Cath is now Chair of the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s National Advisory Council and loves advocating for physiotherapy as a preventative intervention. She has been actively involved in working with other organisations and Federal politicians to provide better access to physiotherapy for all birthing women in Australia.
