Lighter Steps: Sustainable Weight & Lifestyle Program
Lighter Steps: A Holistic Approach to Sustainable Weight & Lifestyle
4-Week Group Program | Co-Facilitated by a GP and Accredited Practising Dietitian
Lighter Steps is a four-week, evidence-based program designed to support sustainable weight and lifestyle changes through a compassionate, whole-person approach. Rather than focusing on short-term transformations, we help you build lasting habits around food, movement, and wellbeing regardless of your body size.
While medication or surgery may be suitable for some, their long-term success relies on a solid foundation of healthy habits. This program focuses on what matters: nourishing food, enjoyable movement, and a healthy mindset.
Each weekly session is co-facilitated by a General Practitioner and an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Together, they will explore the science and psychology behind weight, using practical strategies to support real-life changes. You’ll walk away with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take care of your health in a way that feels sustainable and empowering.
What you will learn:
- Why is weight such a complex issue in our society?
- Why is weight loss hard to maintain?
- What is weight stigma—and how does it impact health?
- How can I build habits that stick?
- What is my relationship with food and my body?
- How do I know what kind and how much food is right for me?
- Can exercise actually feel good?
You are the expert in your own body, and your lived experience matters. Our sessions include interactive activities, practical tools, and optional opportunities to share your insights and support others in a respectful, welcoming space.
Together, we’ll take lighter steps toward lasting change—one habit at a time.
