At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Learning Objectives of the Training:

•Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs

•Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

•Enhance the development of your child's self esteem

•Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Please note:

It is recommended that caregivers arrange childcare for their children due to the nature of the therapeutic work covered. Parents/caregivers with babies in arms or aged 12 months or younger are welcome.

This programme has been abbreviated, meaning the usual 8-week course has been condensed into two Saturday mornings to be more flexible for families and caregivers. The programme is also available for free during business hours through your local Child Health by calling 1300 366 039. No content is lost by completing this afterhours weekend programme.

Parents/caregivers who attend are eligible for a partial Medicare rebate. Please speak to our friendly staff for more information.

Parents/caregivers who require more intensive support, where group dynamics might be impacted, who are currently in crisis, experiencing severe mental health or substance abuse issues are also recommended to be referred externally to receive other, more appropriate, support services.
